We are committed to an incident and injury free workplace.
Chemstar WATER contracted HAZTEK Inc. in 2020 and established a world-class Corporate Health and Safety Plan (CHSP). We are committed to continuously review and improve on the plan.
COMMITTED
At Chemstar WATER, we’re dedicated to setting the industry standard in Occupational Health and Safety. Our goal is a workplace that is incident- and injury-free, ensuring the well-being of our employees and the success of our business. We believe that excellence in health and safety practices is not just important—it’s vital.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
At Chemstar WATER, we’re proud of our zero-incident workplace safety record and remain committed to continuous improvement. We recognize that achieving this goal calls for a robust safety culture—one that adapts how we think and act, both on and off the job. In keeping with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, safety training and certification are integral parts of every position. This includes instruction in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, first aid/CPR, fire and driver training, and any additional specialized programs required by specific roles.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Chemstar WATER’s 24/7 customer call center at (800-364-7177) immediately connects you with a technician, ensuring rapid response anywhere in our service region. In most cases, we can arrive on site within four hours, depending on your location. After addressing the issue, we provide a detailed service report within 24 hours of departure—outlining the problem, contributing factors, and our applied solution.
For chemical-related emergencies, we’ve partnered with Chemtel, Inc., whose hotline (888-255-3924) offers expert assistance in handling hazardous materials. This partnership ensures compliance with all DOT (CFR 49 Transportation 172.604) and OSHA (29 CFR 1910.1200) requirements and provides fast access to necessary Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN
At Chemstar WATER, our Emergency Response Plan (ERP) lays out the policies, procedures, and organizational framework for addressing emergencies. This plan details clear strategies and defines the roles each department will fulfill, from initial response to ongoing management. While the plan offers guidance, we also rely on sound judgment and common sense to address any unforeseen scenarios. During an officially declared disaster, the ERP defers to Provincial, State, and Federal directives to ensure full compliance and coordination with broader emergency operations.
