Chemstar WATER employees are committed to being industry leaders in Occupational Health and Safety practices. Our goal is to maintain a safe and healthy workplace that is incident and injury-free. We believe excellence in health and safety practices is vital to the wellbeing of all people and crucial for our business.
We are proud of our zero-incident workplace safety record and remain committed to continuously learning and improving our practices. We understand that this goal demands a robust safety culture including adapting how we think and act, on and off the job. As required by regulations and industry best practices, Chemstar WATER makes safety training and certification, along with regular refreshers and updates, part of the job. This includes training in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, first aid/CPR, fire and driver training, and other training and certifications demanded by specific jobs.
Our customer call center (800-364-7177) connects our customers to a technician immediately. Our service and operating technicians span our service region and are available for any emergency response 24/7. This enables us to provide emergency response times of less than 4 hours, depending on the location. A follow-up service report will be prepared and submitted to the customer within 24 hours of departure. The report will contain a description of the problem, circumstances contributing to the cause, and the remedy applied.
We also partner with Chemtel, Inc. for emergency response. The hotline can be reached at 888-255-3924 for hazardous chemicals for material SDSs – per the DOT requirements (CFR 49 Transportation 172.604) and OSHA requirements (29 CFR 1910.1200).
The purpose of the Chemstar WATER Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is to establish policies, procedures, and an organizational structure for responding to emergencies. The ERP contains clear strategies and outlines the roles played by various departments during the initial response and throughout the emergency. Nothing in this Plan shall be construed in a manner that limits the use of good judgment and common sense in matters not foreseen or covered by the elements of the plan. The plan and organization are subordinate to Provincial, State, and Federal plans during a disaster declaration by those authorities.
