Understanding the Deionization Process
Deionization involves using specially manufactured ion exchange resins to eliminate mineral salts from water. This process exchanges the unwanted ions in the water with the ions on the resin, producing high-purity water comparable to distilled water.
Deionizers, demineralizers, and DI systems all refer to the same equipment. The deionization process removes ions, dissolved solids, gases, cations, and anions, including:
