Did you know there is a smarter, greener, and lower-cost way of delivering Glycol?
Have you had to push out your project schedule due to constant changes in trucking schedules for your large propylene glycol delivery?
Did you know that you could reduce the number of glycol deliveries by 80% and thus the carbon footprint, labor for pump-in, and overall product cost?
Have you had to push out your construction project due to the number of delivery days of the glycol?
Did you want to lock in the pricing of the glycol ahead of time, but you did not have the means to store it?
We may have an answer for you.
Why do you need Glycol?
An Essential Ingredient
Inhibited Propylene Glycol is recommended to protect your system from freezing during winter months or when the chiller reaches temperatures below freezing. Much like anti-freeze in your car, glycol is an essential additive to closed-loop systems to keep them from freezing or bursting. As Chemstar WATER, we recommend propylene glycol and necessary inhibitors for your closed-loop chilled water system.
Requires Special Care and Safety Protocols
While efficient, glycol must be combined with inhibitors to protect your system. Trained experts must also handle it to ensure safety.
Conventional Glycol Approach
The glycol concentration you need in your chilled water system ranges between 20
% to 30%. If we assume a 20% concentration, that is 80% of the water delivered in each truckload!
That means you’re paying for the following:
- The water – which you already have on site
- 5x as many trucks as you need per delivery
- Fuel (and the added carbon) to move the trucks
- Scheduling logistics
- Manpower and hours needed to unload/fill each
- Added cost!
There’s a Better Way
Chemstar WATER has ReImagined Glycol™
REDUCE YOUR COST BY ~10%-15% & CUT DOWN CO₂ FOOTPRINT BY ~80%
Here’s How We do It:
We have a unique approach. Instead of hauling in multiple trucks with a lower concentration of glycol, we fill our truck with 100% glycol and then dilute it onsite with the water available onsite by using our mobile de-ionization (DI) trailer and mixing it with our proprietary inhibitors.
~10-15% cost savings compared to equivalent dilute conventionally delivered Glycol
~20 metrics tons of CO2 saved, assuming five truckloads / 500 miles each way / 20% Glycol
Compact onsite de-ionized system for water
Scheduling flexibility – we can store it for you until the time you need
Real-time quantity adjustments
Multiple system fill – ability to split volume
Guaranteed pricing once purchased, and we can store it for you!
Easy % concentration adjustment post fill
